Get involved

To drive this ambitious effort, BGCI is seeking leaders who wish to put their resources to work on behalf of nature.

We invite philanthropists, foundations, corporations, social impact funds and other investors to join us. Donors to the fund will be our partners and will contribute to tangible results delivered through an internationally connected conservation network.

In a time of unprecedented global change, protecting trees and nature could not be more important.

Together, we can ensure that our rich natural heritage is passed on for generations to come and we can build a more resilient planet. Please join us, see below the different ways you can get involved.

Donate to the Tree Conservation Fund

BGCI’s Tree Conservation Fund is an initiative created by BGCI to enable individuals, businesses and philanthropic organisations around the world to contribute to the essential effort to save the world’s threatened tree species. Any donation, big or small, helps BGCI to save tree species. If you are ready to contribute to saving a tree species, donate via the link below.

Buy your Biodiversity Impact Credits

Biodiversity Impact Credits offer a solution for organisations that want to mitigate their impact on species extinction risk, and provide an auditable mechanism delivered through world-class conservation practitioners. Costs of tree species recovery will vary from species to species and country to country but average out at $100,000 per year for 5-6 years until the trees are established in the wild.

Become a BGCI Member

BGCI provides membership to institutions working in plant conservation – botanic gardens, arboreta, NGOs, restoration organisations, government, universities, and more. BGCI is consistently looking for and welcoming new members, to help address the challenge of securing plant diversity, for the well-being of people and the planet.
